Caloundra sadly overlooked by the Sunshine Coast’s “Best Streets” List

State Member for Caloundra Mark McArdle has today queried why some of Caloundra’s most beautiful and liveable locations were missing from a recent article published in the Sunshine Coast Daily listing the Sunshine Coast’s “Best Streets”.

It comes an article entitled “Top Streets: The Ultimate Guide” appeared in the Sunshine Coast Daily on 5 May 2018 and sought the advice of 15 local Real Estate agents to determine the best streets in the region.

“I have no doubt the streets listed are wonderful, and it is great to see Beerwah and Landsborough acknowledge in the list, but where is Caloundra and Aura? Not a single street in either was mentioned,” Mr McArdle said.

“The agents suggest beachfront location is a common defining factor and in Caloundra we have wonderful beaches which include Dicky, Kings, Bulcock and Golden Beach. And yes I know there are more. Caloundra is quite literally The City of Beaches.

“Have you ever strolled down the peaceful path that wanders along The Esplanade at Golden Beach or stopped there for a picnic?

“Have you ever driven from Kings Beach to Bulcock Street and caught a glimpse of the Pumicestone Passage, framed by The Glass House Mountains?

“Call me bias but I believe Caloundra is one of the most beautiful places on the Sunshine Coast to call home and some of our streets deserve to get a mention in this list.”
