Member for Caloundra Mark McArdle has encouraged local not-for-profit community groups to apply for grants currently available from the State Government.
Round 96 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund is now open and closes at 11.59pm on Wednesday, 28th February.
Incentives ranging from $500 to $35,000 is available through Queensland’s largest one-off grants program.
"This really is a great program to help community groups give back," Mr McArdle said.
"In the past these grants have helped many sporting, arts and senior groups purchase much needed equipment such as shade-sails, air conditioning, club equipment and more.
"I am always happy to act as a reference for eligible groups and encourage many to take the time to research and put in an application."
People are urged to visit the new Gambling Community Benefit Funds Online Grants Portal at www.gamblingcommunityfund.qld.gov.au where they can read the funding guidelines and register their organisation.
