Member for Caloundra Mark McArdle has congratulated four well-deserving community groups who have been successful in obtaining a combined $58,000 in government grants.
Beerwah Kindy, Beerwah Sportsground Management Committee, Caloundra Rugby Union Club and C&K Queen St Caloundra will each receive a one-off grant thanks to Round 94 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
“This is great news for these hard-working community groups,” Mr McArdle said.
“These funds will go towards vital upgrades and new equipment which can only better assist our littlest people and sporting community.”
Details of the grants are as follows:
Beerwah District Kindergarten Association - $11,090.03 to install shelving and purchase new equipment.
Beerwah Sportsground Management Committee - $16,000 to install solar system.
Caloundra Rugby Union Club - $20,800 to install heavy duty rubber tiles
C&K Association Queen St - $10,522 to upgrade fence.
The Fund provides one-off grants to Queensland not-for-profit community organisations, with revenues sourced from gaming taxes.
